Saturday November 9th 2013.

Balmoral Lodge Dental Practice in Ferndown, Dorset staged it's third Practice Open Day with the aim of raising awareness of mouth cancer.  Free mouth cancer checks were offered for those who wanted them, using the Velscope VX (www.velscope.com). We held a raffle with proceeds towards the British Dental Health Foundation Mouth Cancer Awareness campaign with first prize of a hamper full of Christmas goodies.

Dentists Kevin Durrant, Alistair Bunting, Sue Walker and Rebecca Jones were all on hand to offer informal advice on the services we offer in the practice including implants, adult orthodontics (www.rxaligners.com)  and tooth whitening.

Our hygienists whose vital role in oral healthcare cannot be overemphasized were available to give diet and oral health advice . 

We also celebrated our tenth year of offering quality dental care at Queens Road, Ferndown and offered all visitors to our open day coffee and a slice of excellent chocolate cake made by Patisserie Valerie in Bournemouth.

 Visitors were invited to see our new decontamination room in operation.  The room was installed this year to meet new guidelines which require all instrument cleaning to be done outside of the dental surgery.
